Grapevine Vibrational

First place in competition of art for public buildings The project takes as its reference the rural environment of the Health Care Center and facts that their users experiment, particularly, the grapevine and the experience of being below it. There are two predominant facts: to be under a structure of organic growth that adapts to a regular form and the vibration that produce the leaves moved by the wind and translates into reflections, colors and sound. The proposal is consider in two parts, structure and leaves. For the vine a definition was developed that allows to parameterized the growth of the structure, defines trunks, branches and their adaptation to the access hall. This definition regulates the point from which grows a branch from another, its direction and length For the leaves developed an algorithm that regulates the density and spacing of elements, hanging distance and orientation of the leaves on a previously patterned surface grid. The control that the parametric definitions achieve on the geometry of the project, and its material characteristics, allows knowing and assessing in real-time the amount and dimensions of the constructive elements along to the final cost of the work.
